I am a self-taught photographer. It all started 10 years ago when I received a funny LOMO plastic camera for my birthday. I got hooked on analog photography because I particularly enjoy the lack of instant gratification, the slower pace that shooting in film demands and the surprise factor when viewing the results.
I am using photography as I would use painting to illustrate what I have in my head. I am especially fond of the « double exposure » technique, also called overprint, that combines two photographs into one. It allows me to create dreamy pictures to convey some of my thoughts. I like to think that my artworks are evoking different emotions in people who are looking at them with their own sensibility.
Because in the end, as it was written in The Little Prince by Saint Exupéry:
« What is essential is invisible to the eye ».
